Face Fit Testing should be carried out on all individuals to ensure the RPE is suitable by means of a tight fitting face seal.
RPE fit testing should be conducted by a competent person and you should take steps to ensure that person who carries out the fit test is appropriately trained, qualified and experienced, this is where we are leading the way. Our team have provided many on site test sessions.
Face fitting is a legal requirement, under section 7 of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) act 2002. As an employer in the UK you are required to ensure any of your staff are adequately protected when working with any harmful substances.
